About Treena Elliott
Treena has been a professional recruiter for almost 20 years and has placed hundreds of candidates across Canada and the US. She has looked at 100,000+ resumes in her career and continues to see people make the same mistakes over and over.
"Early in my career, I started to see patterns. People don’t know what information to include or exclude or how to present their experience and skill set in a unique and compelling way. Because I’ve been a recruiter and a hiring manager, I know what other recruiters and hiring managers are looking for and why they pass over resumes." To date, she has worked with almost 500 clients to help them transform their resume so that they stand out from the crowd and get noticed. Based in Calgary, Alberta, she now helps people transform their resume into something that truly represents them. She finds the resume transformation process both rewarding and cathartic and treats every resume project with the same level of care and enthusiasm. |
I hate to say this but 95% of resumes are terrible. But it’s not your fault. This isn’t something that is taught, well, in school. When you think of your resume as a document of first impressions, and work with a professional, it is an incredible opportunity to capture your next employer's attention and motivate them to want to meet with you.
