I have worked in recruitment for more than 20 years with companies including Disney, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Critical Mass, David Aplin, Upside Engineering and TED. I’ve placed hundreds of candidates across Canada and the U.S. and reviewed more than 100,000 resumes. Yet, I continue to see the same mistakes again and again.

Early in my career, I started to see patterns. People don’t know what information to include or exclude, or how to present their experience and skill set uniquely and compellingly. Because I’ve been a recruiter and a hiring manager, I know what other recruiters and hiring managers are looking for and why they pass over resumes.

To date, I’ve worked with almost 700 clients to help them transform their resume so that they stand out from the crowd and get noticed. I find the process both rewarding and cathartic and approach every project with genuine care and enthusiasm. This work has become a calling: helping people recognize their value and creating a resume that reflects their skills, experience and career story.

Based in Calgary, Alberta, I’m the proud mom of two hockey-loving boys—and, by default, a hockey mom. I’ve lived in Victoria, Toronto and Orlando, love glamping and beach vacations, and am becoming more of a coffee snob by the day.

Although I’m not the biggest sports fan, I will always cheer for the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Currently, patiently waiting on the home renovation project so I can get back to my love of entertaining. Recently reignited my passion for EDM music and getting out dancing with my friends: the best medicine on earth.
